From the Cape to Rio official website - "So ... a beautiful day on the Cape 2 Rio start line, a very light South westerly of 10 knots so a reaching start was set up by the race officer Doug Alison. Mark 1 was laid off Granger Bay, Mark 2 off Milnerton and Mark 3 off Blouberg. The IRC 1 and 2 fleets set off at 14:00, 26 boats in the fleet, and the CAT class with 9 CATS set off at 14:10. A huge spectator fleet on the water which was great to see, and they behaved themselves beautifully.
